Equipped with cutting edge imaging, diagnostic, and interventional services, CK Vascular dialysis experts will work closely with you to develop a customized plan of care to meet your dialysis access needs.

CKV Services

  • Fistulograms (an x-ray procedure to look at the blood flow and check for blood clots or other blockages in your fistula)
  • Angioplasty (surgical procedure to open narrowed or blocked blood vessels)
  • Stent Placement (surgical procedure to place a small metal mesh tube in your catheter to keep the artery open and unblocked. Normally performed during or immediately after an angioplasty)
  • Thrombectomies (surgical removal of a blood clot from a blood vessel)
  • Catheter placement and exchange
  • IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound) catheter based diagnostic procedure used to view the inside of an coronary artery providing a real time view

FAQ

  • Please bring your insurance card and photo ID with you to the appointment.
  • Please arrive at your arrival time in order to prep you for your procedure
  • Please do not bring valuables with you to your appointment, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items
  • Please notify CK Vascular if you are unable to keep your appointment

  • DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF TO THIS APPOINTMENT. Due to sedation, you will not be permitted to drive after your procedure. Please arrange transportation.
  • DO NOT EAT OR DRINK 4-5 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED PROCEDURE. You may take heart/blood pressure medication with a sip of water, but hold all diabetic medications the morning of the procedure.
  • PLEASE NOTIFY DIALYSIS STAFF IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERTY TO CONTRAST, IV DYE, IODINE OR SHELLFISH. You may be required to be premediated prior to your procedure, as contrast may be used during the procedure.

These procedures are most often performed under conscious or moderate sedation in our facility. You will have time to recover in one of our recovery bays before being evaluated to go home.
